COFFEE MORNING-BIG THANKYOU!!

Thankyou to everyone who came and donated to the rescue dogs. The coffee morning was a great success and we would like to also thank the volunteers for all their help. The Pet-Ographer was also hugely popular- watch this space for another chance to get your dog photographed!!

Dogs
These dogs are lost or abandoned and usually brought in via Thames Valley Police kennels at Abingdon.

It is unlikely that any history of these dogs will be available. Dogs are available for adoption after a 7 day period post collection has expired in case they are claimed by the owner.

All dogs are neutered, microchipped and vaccinated before leaving for their new homes.

We aim from our fundraising to firstly continue to fulfil our work with rescue dogs,to improve the rescue accommodation, we need a more modern kennel system, a vehicle designated for transporting rescue dogs for vet visits etc.

The society hopes to raise enough funds to employ its own appointed member of staff to care for the rescue dogs, at present wages are funded by Charney kennels.

The minimum donation fee is £98 and homing is subject to a home-check.

Want to Help?

We require volunteer dog walkers to exercise the dogs in our secure paddock and to generally spend time with them.

We are looking for caring, experienced foster homes for dogs which find the kennel environment stressful, or need introducing to home life before they can be rehomed permenantly.

If you have any ideas for fundraising or want to organise an event (for eg, sponsored walk) in aid of Charney Rescue then please let us know!

Cats

Cats usually come in as strays or are handed over by the public.

The minimum donation for male cats is £40 and female cats is £55 (due to the difference in neutering costs). A home-check is undertaken before cats are rehomed with their adopters.

Cats are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and frontlined before being placed in a new home.

Please contact us for further information of our rescue animals.
