Boarding
Kennels vs Home Boarding
Why
choose us / Home boarding ?
Put
simply home boarding cannot offer an appropriate standard
of animal care as set out for our licensed premesis
Firstly,
there is a high risk of infection. To meet the same high standards
found here, dogs would have to kept in one uncarpeted room,
which would need disinfecting every day, any soft furnishings
& bedding would have to be washed or disposed of after
every stay. Flea larvae and pupa can remain in the environment
until a suitable host is detected, and parvovirus can stay
viable for up to 6 months. Only the most sparse and clinical
home environment could be suitable.
Secondly,
there is the issue of segregation. Dogs from different homes
should not be allowed to mix until the area has been thoroughly
disinfected.
Security
is also far more of an issue in a private home. Doors &
windows would have to be kept permantly shut or covered at
all times to avoid escapes.
Thirdly,
the welfare of your animals must be paramount, we believe
our facilities to be superior to that offered by home boarding.
Exercise for a home boarders
is likely to be in a back garden, impossible to clean to discourage
the risk of contagion.
When
it comes to boarding your pet, we have a wealth of experience
and expertise, always having your dogs welfare at heart.
